"Neither
slavery nor involuntary servitude... shall exist within the U.S." is the
line that was taken from a constitutional amendment of the US.
Lincoln’s last warning is the cartoon that has been considered to be the
most directly aligned to the lines from the constitutional amendments.
It shows President Abraham Lincoln holding an axe ready to chop down a tree
that has been labeled as “Slavery”. There is a picture of man on top of the
tree, which represent the Confederacy that is trying to hold on to slavery as
President Lincoln tries to destroy the “Slavery” tree.
