he IP address associated with a given URL is not static, and it can change.

Computers need to periodically check the DNS for websites you have already visited because the IP address associated with a given URL or domain is not static rather dynamic-changes with time, and it can change over course of time. DNS is an abbreviation of Domain Name System, it has servers which is responsible of converting alphabetic names into numeric IP address, each URL has a unique IP address associated with it, these IP address are dynamic, changes with time for some URL’s. If computers do not periodically check DNS, changes occurred in URL’s IP address could lead you to a different website due to change in IP address.

Further Explanation:

• The Domain Name System (DNS) servers is responsible for converting IP addresses into natural language readable texts (domains) such as brainly.com. Without DNS everyone would have to remember random strings of number i.e. 204.132.40.155 to access different websites, or Google’s IP address to look for different IP addresses but that is very difficult for humans, that is why we have DNS servers that resolves host-names and Internet Protocols (IP) addresses.

• DNS needs to be updated by computers periodic check, to accurate access to website of your choice.

• Some IP addresses are dynamic-changes with time, DNS keeps records of such changes and remembers for future routing to get accurate access to websites.

• Address (A) records must be updated periodically to ensure that access to your domain is maintained accurately.

• The Domain Name System (DNS) is used to resolve host-names like www.brainly.com into IP addresses i.e. 204.132.40.155 to ensure accurate access of URL It is like an index for the Internet URL's.
