Europeans explored the Americas to find different trade routes, to conquer and to some extent (specifically the Spanish) to convert the indigenous of the lands. The Europeans found many Native tribes who were living in (relative) co-existence and a huge mass of land, which they soon claimed as their own for many decades and settled many inhabitants from Europe into the New World.
