Answer: Physical science includes branches like astronomy, physics, chemistry, and related subjects. It was once defined as the science of the non-living world. But this definition is no longer sufficient now.
This is because, certain chemical reactions take place inside living organisms also. These are called the metabolic reactions which are crucial for the survival and maintenance of the living organisms.
This means that physical science cannot be excluded from the living systems. Thus, the earlier definition is no longer sufficient now.
