Oxygen is usually superbly pressurized when in a tank. Additionally it has no impurities, and is quite near, full 100% oxygen. The problem with oxygen is that it isn't flammable, however fire and combustion requires oxygen in order to burn. If you provide a hundred percent, high flow oxygen to a blaze, you have just added the most important ingredient to a fire, and because of the pressure, it will combust fast.
