So we no that there are 8 numbers on the spinner. So now lets see all the even numbers: 2,4,6,8. There are 4. Now, since you have 8 numbers, 8 would be your denominator (Sorry I don't know how to explain that more than I already did) and like I just said, there are 4 even number so it would be 4/8 which could be reduced to 1/2. Now, lets count out the odd numbers: 1,3,5,7. So again, 4. It would now be 4/8 and again you can reduce it to 1/2. The probability that you would spin an 8 would be 1/8.
