     This group of people have a very interesting way of thinking about animals in general. Their main thought is that, culturally, animals don't deserve to suffer, and they're not here on earth to serve the human race and all its needs, they are here to share the resources just like any other animal that lives here, and to be competitive agains us too for these resources, but, that's not the reason we should make them suffer at all.

This way of thinking is what actually most vegetarians think too to have their strong covictions regarding this matter.
