Even though scorpions are related to spiders, there are many differences between the two organisms. One difference is that scorpion young do not hatch from eggs as spiders do. Scorpions are born live, two at a time, and they immediately crawl onto the mother's back for protection and care. They remain there for 2 weeks as they grow big enough to take care of themselves.

Mitosis is a cell division in which one cell separates to form two daughter cells, each having an identical genome as of the parent cell.  

Before mitosis, the cell replicates its DNA or genetic material, so that equal amount of genetic material can be distributed into the two daughter cells.

By the end of mitosis, two nuclei are formed in a cell which is followed by cytokinesis. Cytokinesis results in the formation of two daughter cells.

These cells then grow in size and divide again which helps in the growth and repair of tissues in multi-cellular organisms.
