First attempt at this test said D was wrong so I'm wanting to say A or C.

What is mitosis?

Mitosis is a type of cell division occurs in somatic cells. It is called as equational division as the chromosome number remains same after the division.

It includes various steps namely, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and cytokinesis.

Firstly chromatin fiber condense forming chromosomes. These chromosomes gets aligned at the equator attached by spindle fibers at centromere.

Next these chromosomes break into two parts and start moving to the opposite pole followed by division of cell.

Thus, as per this, the correct option is b.
