It is influenced by the ITCZ and subtropical highs. The ITCZ is the intertropical convergence zone. This is a belt of lower pressure. It circles the Earth by the equator near the area that the trades winds of the northern and southern hemisphere come together. Subtropical highs is a belt of high pressure atmosphere around the latitudes of 30 degrees north in the northern hemisphere and 30 degrees south in the southern hemisphere.
