Lucky you! I just so happen to be doing this in U.S history now. During the mass waves of immigration of the 1800's, houses where not affordable for the average worker. If you remember from the lessons, there were tons of factory jobs, but they gave little pay and harsh working conditions. Due to a lack of money, the immigrants and poor people could not afford their own homes. This forced them to live in places called tenements.
Tenements were really bad and disgusting places to live. One street level floors received light, they were uncomfortable, unsafe, and very unclean. To answer your question, it will be A.
