So,

a = 90 - b.

Given  

a = 2b - 24

Now

90 - b = 2b - 24

2b + b = 90 + 24

3b = 114

b = 38

So,

a = 90 - 38

= 52

Therefore we can conclude that the value of the angles is 38° and 52°.
