negative 3.5 is less than negative 2 because if you had a number line 3.5 would be in the left side and negative 2 would be in the right.  the nes on the left are less than the ones on the right . so -3.5 < -2

-3.5 would be less than -2. You a number line, it will help you understand integers a lot.

Alright, as you can see, -3.5 is located behind -2. Integers are confusing at first, but you'll soon learn! Just remember, the greater the negative, the lesser it's value will become. So -8 or -10 would both be less than -2.
