One of the main concerns is that those people won't work to do what's best for the people since they weren't elected by the people and might thus be looking out for their self interest or someone else's self interest if those people have lobbyists, and they often do.

The concerns are that the unelected leaders won’t discharge their duties accordingly; they won’t be accountable to the people. There would be no accountability since they are not elected by the people.

Also, the unelected leaders can’t be removed from their office even though they are they make decisions for the citizens; therefore, they can become reckless when making decisions.
