The systems of the body are very complex and one system work cannot work independently of the other. For the skeletal muscles to move, there is a need for them to contract and relax. The bones that they are attached to are also an important aspect in the movement of the muscles.

The skeletal mucle must relax and contract in order to move. Cardiac, smooth and skeletal are the three types of muscles. Its only the skeletal muscles that enables the body to move. The proteins, actin and myosin, are responsible for cell movements.
