Oliver Gilbert is the author of the story, "The Narrative of Sojourner Truth". It is a narrative based on Sojourner Truth's venture as a slave in upstate New York and how she conquered the different challenges of being a black woman on her way to becoming an extraordinary abolitionist, feminist, orator, and preacher.
