Schizophrenia is a direct result of abnormal dopamine levels with the brain leading to the development of the symptoms of schizophrenia. The best approach to treating schizophrenics would be neurobiology. The reason for this is because the disease is a manifestation of abnormal biology within the neurons of the brain. A neurological approach to treating the disorder is what leads to adequate therapy which attempts to correct the neurobiological abnormalities which cause the disease. Behaviorism and Humanism would not be useful as they do not address the physiological and biological etiologies of the disease.
