HELP ME ASAP

1) A recipe calls for 4 pounds of fruit. You have 60 ounces of fruit.

a. Do you have as much fruit as you need
b. If not, how much more or less of fruit do you need?

2) Would the weight of a gold ring most likely be expressed in ounces, tons, or pounds

Respuesta :

1)

a.
60 ounces = 3 pounds

So no, you don’t have as much fruit as you need.

b.
60 ounces —> 3 pounds
X ounces —> 4 pounds

Cross product :

(60 x 4) / 3 —> 240/3 = 80

So in order to have 4 pounds of fruits, you need 80 ounces of fruits.

You already have 60 ounces of fruits.

X + 60 = 80

80 - 60 = X

20 = X

You need 20 more ounces to have 4 pounds of fruits.
