Vincent Van Gogh worked with a sense of urgency which was often mistaken for boldness in his brush strokes since it showed movement Since Van Gogh was rushing himself he usually painted a picture a day until the stress from his urgency had finally killed him 70 days later. It is said that Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Van Gogh all used paints they made themselves and were more likely to rush their work than other artists.
