- Both the sheep and fetal pig kidneys are bean-shaped.

- Both the sheep and fetal pig kidneys are reddish-brown colored.

- Both the sheep and fetal pig kidneys have ducts that drain urine into the ureters as a path for urine to leave the kidney.

 

- One noticeable difference between the sheep and fetal pig kidneys is that the sheep kidney contains more layers of fatty tissue.

The sheep kidneys are lighter in colour and they are found outside of the renal medulla. If we compare the renal pelvis, when in the sheep it is fattier than in fetal pig. Both fetal pig kidney and sheep kidney they have renal vein and renal artery and a section where for ureter which is being attached.

In sheep kidney, the renal capsule in texture it is thicker. The kidney of fetal pig is deeper in colour lets say it is pale brown .

Urine which is being produced in fetal pig it bypasses urethra with elongated bladder and it extends to umbilical cord.
