The Second World War was nothing short of brutal and led to many losing their lives. Some developments came out of it however in the following ways:

  • Computers - thanks to machines that could project weapon trajectories being developed, computer technology grew such that better generations of computers were developed to the level they are at today.

  • Medicine - the second World War led to the mass production of antibiotics and blood plasma transfers which ensure that we can fight off many infections today.

  • Air travel - the second World War allowed for the improved development of jet engines which ensured that air travel developed in leaps and bounds.

In conclusion, the second World War was horrible but led to improvements in computers, medicine and air travel.
