If one looks at something as simple as the internet, or cellphones (two extremely relevant entities which massively affect our everyday lives), we can see how easily information spreads, whether it be through a simple text to a friend, or a post on a forum, we can gain knowledge of others' lives and cultures by easily looking them up, or reading about them on websites. Basically, mass communication makes it extremely easy to look up information, and therefore easy to gain information and be influenced by cultures worldwide.
