One of his greatest contributions to the Persian Empire was the way he promoted tolerance for all religions throughout the empire. The Persians left great legacies to humanity such as the construction of the first canal, the postal system, and the creation of large gardens in temples and cities and the tradition of carpets that are used today in homes around the world, besides his great tolerance to different cultures and religions.
