The medical assistant could be held accountable for this reason. This would violate HIPPA regulations in which she told the patients private information without her permission.
The medical assistant can be held liable for disclosing confidential information about his patient. Medical professionals are expected to treat with great respect the information they obtain about their patients and the details of their patients' medical conditions. It was wrong for the medical assistant to disclose the vital information publicly without the consent of his patient.
