describe the motion of the continents from the cambrian period through the quaternary period

Respuesta :

The Cambian period is the time period from approximately 540 to 500 million years ago when most of the major groups of animals first appear in the fossil record. In this period Rodinia began to fragment into smaller continents and continents distributed within 60 degrees of the paleoequator. The dispersal of continents in the Cambrian is a result of the fragmentation of Rodinia
During the Cambrian period, the continents were very closely placed together. Nearly the entire land mass of Earth was in the same place. Over time, with continent drift, those continents began to spread out and water came between the continents to how we know the world today. Now there is a giant ocean between North America/South America and Europe/Asia/Africa, where there wasn't before.
