It could be argued that it was the Ancient Greek playwrite Aristophanes who was the greatest writer of comedies and even made fun of other playwrights, although this is of course subjective.
Aristophanes is the writer of comedies who even made fun of other playwrights. He was a comic playwright of ancient Athens. He wrote several hilarious comedies making fun of all sorts of people, including his fellow playwright Euripdes whom he disparaged in The Frogs and the philosopher Socrateswho was satirized in The Clouds.
Aristophanes was known as the "Father of comedy" and "the Prince of Ancient Comedy".
