According to Tiresias, Odysseus will experience many
sufferings caused by Poseidon. He added
that when Odysseus reaches the narrow straits, he will come across Scylla and
Charybdis where he losses six of his men to Scylla. Tiresias also said that when Odysseus sets
foot on the lands of Helios, they must not eat the cattle and that there will
be problems when he finally gets home.
Upon returning to Ithaca, he will deal with the suitors who want to
marry his wife. After that, he will
finally find peace and happiness.
