I don't know if your school lets you simplify pi so I'll put two options;
here's simplified pi.
Step 1; Write Out Your Problem
A = [tex] \pi [/tex] x 8^2
Step 2; Simplify 3.14 for [tex] \pi [/tex]
A = 3.14 x 8^2
Step 3; PEMDAS/Solve for 8^2
A = 3.14 x 64
Step 4; PEMDAS/Multiply 3.14 by 64
A = 200.96
Step 5; Simplify
In this case you don't need to simplify.
And here's the un-simplified pi;
Step 1; Write Out Your Problem
A = [tex] \pi [/tex] x 8^2
Step 2; PEMDAS/Solve for 8^2
A = [tex] \pi [/tex] x 64
Step 3; PEMDAS/Multiply pi by 64
A = 201.06192983
Step 4; Simplify
A = 201.06
