Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
The Uniform Law Commission, a non-profit association, suggests legislation that it hopes all states within the US will adopt in order to create uniform standards in matters that have applicability across state lines. The Uniform Trade Secret Acts was first proposed by the Uniform Law Commission in 1979 and updated in 1985. As of 2013, 48 states (with the exception of New York and Massachusetts) had adopted the Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
