It depends on the area.
In cities, sure! Control the guns-it'll be somewhat effective. (I say somewhat because there's still other ways to commit crime. Apparently, people have never heard of knives before. And, I do believe those are another way to hurt someone.)
In small towns, places with a lot of wild animals, I say no. 100%.
Because, a lot of people need guns to survive.
Guns are needed in states like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Maine, and in Alaska, especially.
Anyone who is for gun control everywhere has obviously never been charged by a black bear before.
