Plato was a philosopher in classical Greece. He was a student of Socrates and teacher of Aristotle. He was also the founder of the Academy in Athens.

One of his most influential contribution to philosophy was His Theory of forms. He considered that the material world as it seems to us is not the 'real' world but an 'image' of the real world.
