opened Hull House in 1889 was to help immigrants. She hosted activities and clubs for immigrant
children as well as adults. She was
against laws that limited immigration and programs that were meant to erase
immigrant cultures. She also made
Americans realize the impact that immigrants had on America and how their
efforts affect every part of American lives.
She believes America should be grateful for the services that these
immigrants give to this country.
