In "The Necklace," when the jewels are
lost, the Loisels gave up their whole savings to buy a new necklace to return
it to the people they borrowed it from. Years later, they have found it that
the necklace they had borrowed was fake and all the time they were getting
poorer day by day because of their lost savings.
