In order for a state to be a classified as a state, they must have these four elements.
1. Population
A state must have people living in its borders. Without a population, there isn’t a government or state.
2. Territory
States must have a defined territory. Without them, they become vulnerable. They need a defined geographical area that they own.
3. Government
In a state, the government keeps order and deals with affairs. They implement and enforce the law, in which, they show their sovereignty.
4. Sovereignity
Sovereignity means the ability of a state to govern its territory free from control of its internal affairs by other states.
In short, a state has four elements, which are population, territory, government, and soveregnity.
