Read each statement and decide what type of ecological interaction it describes.
Toadfish live on the bottom of the ocean. They bury
themselves in the sand/mud and wait to ambush their
prey, crustaceans and mollusks.
If there are several toadfish inhabiting the same area,
there may not be enough food to sustain all of them.
They will have to compete for prey.
Toadfish are not the only animals on the ocean bottom
that eat mollusks. Other animals that prey on mollusks
include sea stars and crabs. All of these species must
compete for the mollusks in one area.
Some species of crabs have evolved relationships with
algae. The crab provides a solid surface on which the
algae can grow. In return, the algae provides
camouflage to the crab, allowing it to blend into its
surroundings.

Respuesta :

1. Camouflage

2. Competition

3. Competition

4. Symbiosis

Explanation:

The camouflage is defined as the property of the living organisms that make them to prepare their body to perfectly match with their surroundings so that they cannot be recognised by their hunters. This makes them survive more in an environment with full of competition.

The competition is an interaction between the organisms where in a particular environment, different organisms compete for a particular prey for their living. Here the theory of the survival of the fittest work.

The symbiosis is an interaction between two or more species which leads to benifit of both the species in their living. Here one species help other in a form and other species do the same. There's benifit for both in the interaction.
